I worked as Prop Coordinator with the great east coast Property Master, Michael Jortner, for Marvel's first Netflix original season of Daredevil. Some of my duties included (but were not limited to): sourcing props, shopping, rentals, tracking budget, managing all PO's/CeckReqs/PCards/PC etc. aka keeping accounting happy, corresponding with fabricators, preparing prop "show and tells" for episode's director and creative team, maintaining informed communication between all other departments, prop fabrication and research, and all the good stuff.

Below is a small case example of the "Ice Cream Wrapper Bracelet" from Episode 7, one of the many props created for Daredevil. Young Matt Murdock (Daredevil) shares an ice cream cone with his wise blind crime fighting no nonsense mentor, Stick. In an act of affection, young Matt creates a bracelet from the wrapper to give to his mentor. You can see the evolution of one small detail in the story - options and examples I would put together for the director and creative team and the final product that ended up on screen.

Custom ice cream wrappers were designed. The pattern inspired from a visual moment in the original Marvel Daredevil comics.

Here are two of the six style options for the bracelet provided for the Daredevil team to choose from.

The bracelet plays twice in the episode. In the second appearance the bracelet needed to visually cue that many years had gone by. Above are examples of various levels of aging that were provided to choose from.
